Champion Hurdle

QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle Betting 2015

Dean Pratt produced a barnstorming late run aboard the John Quinn-trained Cockney Sparrow as the 12/1 shot stormed past Court Minstrel and the disappointing My Tent Or Yours to land the QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle, which was one of the feature events on the Scottish Grand National card at Ayr.

AP McCoy was struggling to keep the Evens favourite My Tent Or Yours settled throughout the contest and even though he breezed to the front he was unable to pick up after the last flight and whilst Court Minstrel looked to have him beaten, it was Cockney Sparrow who propelled up the home straight to land the two-mile prize in a stunning renewal.

Decent tenth on return (stable debut) but an unlikely winner from 12lb out of the handicap
